The work "Il Canotto" is on show at the Changwon Sculpture Biennale 2016. Thanks again to the Foundation HX Henraux. The work will be exhibited at the Moonshin Art Museum of Changwon, Yong-Ji Lake, together with five other sculptures belonging to the Foundation Henraux. Photo by Nicola Gnesi.
Yesterday I have chosen the marble block of 27 tons. It's beautiful marble from Monte Altissimo, of the caves of Henraux. Next sculpture: il canotto.
I'm proud to be chosen as one of the three finalists for the 3rd edition of the Premio Internazionale di Scultura Fondazione Henraux.

February 28 to April 19, 2015
Galerie Zwart Huis, Knokke, Belgium
For the exhibition "Present / Absent" Kim De Ruysscher transforms Galerie Zwart Huis into a clothing store. Garments have been tried on, put back sloppily or have remained untouched. The presence and absence of man is strongly felt. Someone has just fitted a white shirt. A pair of pumps remain untouched. The toys lying around stands in stark contrast with the stiff clothing store, not the place for a playing child. The ironed shirt, the tie, prescribed bowtie or a jacket show an etiquette of which De Ruysscher questions the sense and nonsense. This duality is also found in the frozen form of an object that has no function in the functional world anymore. The object only has a function in the realm of visual arts.

Reality
Tussen tijd en werkelijkheid.
Overzichtstentoonstelling.

The Belgian artist Kim De Ruysscher is known for its sculptures using natural materials like Sandstone as he used for one of his latest work A Second Life (see image above) – an old tree lies defeated in rough sawn parts, subject to the laws of gravity and sloppy winds through space. The artist explains the work as the following: - See more at: get addicted to

"Throughout history people have claimed that it is the end of art, that there is no longer anything new. I say it is the beginning. Consumerism is no longer the most important thing, it is of course an aspect but what is important now is the quality; it is not made in China."—Kim De Ruysscher, exhibiting at Preview Berlin Art Fair

Preparing for Preview Berlin Art Fair.
The works from the theme 'Make it Yourself' cost years to sculpt. Now we participate with our own concept gallery in fairs, the booth also needs preparation to a perfect state. In this case, at the upcoming Preview Berlin we will present in our booth 'Make it Yourself: SALE'. It is the concept of a shop with sale furnished with the utmost precision for every minor detail. From the decor to the sculptures.
The sculptures from the theme 'Make it yourself' are selected. After packaging they go on international transport.

Art at the Warehouse takes place in a rough and inspiring warehouse, which reflects the forcefulness of the event and is within walking distance of Art Rotterdam. On the ground floor the top of Contemporary Art is presented by (inter)national galleries. On the first floor large installations and projections take over next to a Urban Supermarket and the art of gaming in Playful Arts Festival. Hereby Art at the Warehouse doesn’t only display art, but also allows visitors to experience art in a unique environment.
