IN TIME
After the sculptures of the talented Belgian artist Kim De Ruysscher (Wilrijk, BE 1973) have been shown at Den Haag Sculptuur this summer, his work will now be exhibited at Brandt Gallery in Amsterdam.
Kim De Ruysscher studied the treatment of stone in Italy for over nine years, to master the techniques in perfection. Since 2006 he lives and works in The Hague.
Kim’s appreciation for craftmanship is shown in his perfectly executed small sculptures which have lost their function. His work responds to the superficiality of a consumer society where craft is hardly appreciated. He finds inspiration in Pop Art, Arte Povera and even minimalism.
You are kindly invited to join us at the opening of “In time” on Saturday September 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. during the Spiegelkwartier OPEN! weekend.
